+ WHAT’S THE BENEFIT OF HAVING A SECOND SHOOTER?

Often times during a wedding day, I’m working nonstop to capture all of the most essential moments throughout your day. Having a second shooter there allows them to pick up shots of candid moments that are unfolding that I may not be able to get to in time if I’m grabbing shots of the kiss or the wedding party photos. Those candid moments of grandma laughing or a father shedding a tear are precious keepsakes. The second shooters I work with are professionals that I have worked with for close to a decade.

+ HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

Once you’ve decided on a wedding package, a 50% deposit will be due with the signed contract. This locks your date in on my calendar. The other 50% will be due no later than 2 months prior to the wedding date.

+ WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING?

I charge an $800 fee for any wedding date changes. Please make sure that you contact me as soon as you decide to change your date, as I may be pre-booked by another client for your new date, and my deposit is non refundable.

+ WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING?

I have never had to cancel on a client, but if some circumstance out of my control were to occur (act of God, illness, death, etc), and I were not able to fulfill coverage of photographic services or find a replacement from our roster of photographers we work with, than the retainer will be returned in full.

+ Can I have the RAW files?

No, clients will not be given access to any of the raw files. Half of what you’re paying for is the unique style that I bring to each of my images through my editing style. A large part of what I do is carefully edit every usable photo from your wedding day, if they were to be edited or manipulated in a way that was out of alignment with TT’s identity, those changes could cost our reputation.

+ HOW LONG DO PHOTOS TAKE TO BE DELIVERED?

Our typical turnaround time is 9-12 weeks. Editing is a huge part of what you’re paying for with a wedding photographer. Unlike some photographers who “batch edit” (slap a preset on the whole collection of images and call it a day), I go through every single photo from your wedding day and hand edit each of them.

+ WHAT IS YOUR EDITING PROCESS LIKE?

Wedding photography is highly vulnerable to trends, most of which will become out-dated with time. My editing style relies heavily on natural light, true-to-color editing & no gimmicks. These are the photos your grandkids will look at some day, so let’s make sure these photos age well.

+ DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR PRINTING RIGHT?

No way! Once the photos are delivered to you, they’re yours to download, share and print. However, if you're planning on sharing them on your social media, I just ask that you remember to give us at Torches Together credit as your photographers.

+ HOW DOES PRINT ORDERING WORK?

The online gallery platform that I use to deliver photos has a built-in shop feature where you (or family and friends that you’ve shared your gallery link with) can order prints.

+ ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR TRAVEL?

+ I GET NERVOUS IN FRONT OF CAMERAS, WHAT DO I DO?!

You and me both! When I was younger, I was always shy in front of the camera (which made growing up with a mother who loved to take photos of everything my sister and I did quite stressful). With that in mind, I work very hard to create trust through dialogue with all of my clients. You can relax knowing that I’m here to capture the real you AND make you look great!

I will give as much or as little instruction as you’d like, and will never be overbearing or pressuring. I have never, in the 6 years I’ve done this professionally, had a shoot where I couldn’t get a shy client to warm up. :)

+ CAN WE BRING OUR PETS TO OUR SHOOT?

Yes. Bring your dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and platypus’s. All species are welcome (and encouraged).

+ IS THERE A WAY TO PLAN OUR WEDDING DAY TO MAKE SURE WE GET THE BEST PHOTOS POSSIBLE?

From the moment the contract has been signed, I am here to be as involved as you’d like me to be with the planning of your wedding day. I’ve helped dozens of couples over the years structure their wedding day to guarantee that they get the best possible photos with the least amount of stress.
